It's the Fellowes Cosmic 2 95, a machine that has just hit the market. This machine has a lot going for it and you may just find that it's the right machine for your needs. Take a look at its strengths and weaknesses: Strengths: This version of the Cosmic 2 has a 9 bending cnc.5-inch feed opening cnc bending machine. This is perfect for items that are 8.5" x 11" and smaller.

You will be able to laminate brochures, business cards, and so on. This laminator will work with 3 mil pouches when you're laminating larger items. However, you can use 5 mil pouches when working with items that are about the size of an index card or smaller. If you experience a pouch jam at any point, you can use the pouch release lever in the back of the machine to clear things up copper bending machine. The Cosmic 2 has three temperature settings. One of the settings is a cold setting so you will be able to process heat-sensitive items without any problems. The machine takes about 5 minutes to warm up and it has two rollers to ensure a smooth finish. Using the Cosmic 2 is pretty safe since it has HeatGuard technology. This unique feature keeps the exterior of the machine nice and cool so you won't accidentally burn yourself as you work. Most of Fellowes' laminators are compact and the Cosmic 2 is no exception. This device measures 4.25" (height) x 17.75" (width) x 5 busbar cutting machine.75" (depth) and it only weighs about 5 pounds. You shouldn't have any trouble at all finding room for this device. Finally, this machine comes with a 2-year warranty so you can have it repaired or replaced in case the need arises. (You can lengthen the life of your laminator by using a carrier, although it isn't mandatory.) Weaknesses: As you can tell, the Cosmic 2 won't work with thicker pouches. Also, the 9.5-inch feed opening won't cut it if you need to work with a lot of larger items. So keep that in mind if you need to use thick pouches and/or deal with large laminating jobs. This machine lacks the ability to handle mounting boards. Thus, it's not a good choice if you need to create a lot of visual aids (i.e. mockups, court displays, etc.)

Also, the Cosmic 2 lacks a carrying handle. Luckily, the machine is so light this shouldn't be a problem. (It weights just over 5 pounds.) Overall, the Fellows Cosmic 2 is a solid pouch laminator that is suitable for personal and light office use. This machine is easy to use and it's good for laminating everyday items like ID cards and letter-sized documents. The device warms up quickly and it even offers cold lamination for items that might be damaged by heat. However, you might not find that this machine is a good fit if you want to use thick pouches and/or process large-format items. But if you just need a handy laminator for small jobs, the Cosmic 2 is worth a look. Check it out today. Article Tags: ,
